ANN ARBOR, MICH. – Facing its fourth ranked opponent in the last three weekends, Rutgers tennis dropped its match to No. 24 Michigan on Sunday afternoon in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines claimed the doubles point and six singles matchups for the win.
Although Michigan opened doubles action with a win at the No. 2 spot, seniors Chloe Lee and Lee Levy had established a 6-5 edge over UM's Lera Patiuk and Kara Hall at the No. 3 position.
The Wolverines' Brienne Minor and Kate Fahey, however, managed to hold off the resilient pair of senior Mingxiu Du and sophomore Kat Muzik to escape with a 7-5 win at the No. 1 spot and a 1-0 lead in the match.
From there, Michigan carried its momentum through singles action to top Rutgers.
