Tennis Set for Home Weekend against Purdue and Indiana

Senior Day slated for Sunday’s match with Indiana
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis is set for two home matches this weekend, welcoming Purdue on Friday at 12 p.m. at the East Brunswick Racquet Club and Indiana on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Rutgers Tennis Complex.
Prior to Sunday's matchup, Rutgers will honor its graduating Scarlet Knights – Mingxiu Du, Chloe Lee and Lee Levy – in a Senior Day ceremony at 10:50 a.m.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Rutgers hit the road for its final two road matches of the season, suffering setbacks at Michigan State and No. 24 Michigan. Michigan marked RU's fourth ranked opponent in its last six matches. The Scarlet Knights have also faced No. 11 Illinois, No. 9 Northwestern, and No. 38 Nebraska in that span.
In the contest at MSU, Lee highlighted the outing with a win at the No. 2 singles spot. The Albuquerque, New Mexico, native earned a 6-3 win in the first set before securing the victory with a 6-6 (7-5) win in the next.
SCOUTING PURDUE
Purdue holds a 12-9 overall record and a 5-4 Big Ten mark on the season. Over the weekend, the Boilermakers split its matchups with a win over Penn State and a loss to No. 35 Ohio State. The loss snapped a four-match win streak for Purdue.
Silvia Ambrosio and Seira Shimizu each picked up singles wins against the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes. Meanwhile, the duo of Caitlin Calkins and Ambrosio earned a doubles win at the No. 1 spot against OSU.
SCOUTING INDIANA
Indiana owns a 16-9 overall record and a 3-6 conference mark entering the weekend. The Hoosiers also split matches last weekend with a loss against No. 35 Ohio State and a win over Penn State.
Caitlin Bernard paces the team with a 17-7 dual record in singles action, including a 4-5 mark in conference play. In doubles play, Madison Appel and Michelle McKamey own a record of 11-5 as a pair in dual matches.
The Hooisers travel to Maryland on Friday before arriving "On the Banks".
