PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Princeton retains the Cannon Trophy, but Rutgers women's swimming and diving captured five top-ten school performances on Saturday at the Rutgers Aquatics Center.
The Tigers won the fifth annual Battle For the Cannon Trophy, defeating the Scarlet Knights 176.00-124.00.
RU captured 19 top three finishes and went 1-2 in the 1000 free, 100 and 200 breast and 100 back while securing top ten times/scores in the 100 and 200 breast and in 1M and 3M diving.
Â
- Sophomore Sofia Bartoloni captured two top 10 school performances in winning both breaststroke events. She followed with a time of 2:14.84 in the 200 breast, remaining in eighth on RU's all-time list but still took .26 seconds off her top time.
- Rutgers also saw a trio of top 10 scores on both 1M and 3M. Senior Holly Prasanto set the fifth-highest score "On The Banks" with a runner-up score of 338.03 on 3M with freshman Katerina Hoffman taking third with the eighth-highest score in the event with a 327.38.
