Baseball Swept at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Rutgers baseball dropped Sunday's series finale to Indiana, falling by a score of 18-6 at Bart Kaufman Field. 

The Scarlet Knights (24-19, 3-12) dropped their third straight to the Hoosiers (25-18-1, 10-5), who finished off the series sweep. 

Rutgers struck first with an RBI groundout from Pablo Santos in the second. Indiana responded with nine runs in the bottom half to take control of the game.

Three home runs in the top of the third from Johnny Volpe, Josh Kuroda-Grauer and Tony Santa Maria plated four, which brought the score to 9-5.

Ultimately, the Hoosiers would score nine of the game's final 10 runs to win 18-6 and sweep the series,

Rutgers is back in action at home on Wednesday when it hosts Princeton.
