Two-year starter at Amarillo College in JUCO ranks … played in 51 games and was named Honorable Mention All-WJCAC as a sophomore … slashed .336/.424/.692 with nine home runs, 13 doubles, six triples and 45 RBIs … hit for the cycle on Apr. 16 against Wayland Baptist, also hitting two home runs in the game … hit .376 as a freshman with four homers, 12 doubles and 37 RBIs … attended Puerto Rico Baseball Academy & High School in Gurabo, P.R. where he received academic honors every year.
