KNOW YOUR KNIGHTS
One word to describe your Coach: Supportive
Best player ever competed against: Teraya Sigler
Major: Business
I chose my major because: I chose to major in business because it’s something I’ve always been interested in, especially since it’s what my dad does. Growing up, I got to see how many opportunities it can lead to, and it made me want to learn more about it. I also like that it’s a broad degree that gives me a lot of different career options after volleyball. I want to build a successful career, and I feel like business is the best path for me.
Favorite place to hang out on campus: College Ave.
The person I most admire is and why: The person I admire most is my mom because she’s always been the strongest and most selfless person I know. No matter what was going on, she always put our family first and made sure we had everything we needed. She’s supported me through every step of my volleyball journey and has always believed in me.
If I wasn’t playing volleyball, I’d be: Honestly, I’d probably be spending a lot more time with my family and friends. Sports have always taken up such a big part of my life, so without them I’d probably be finding new hobbies, working, and just enjoying more free time.
Favorite professional athlete: Simone Biles. I’ve always admired her because she’s obviously one of the greatest athletes ever, but what I respect most is how she handled her mental health. It takes a lot of courage to step back, and then even more strength to come back and compete again. That resilience and confidence are really inspiring to me, and it’s something I try to carry into my own life and athletics.
Favorite professional sports team: new york yankees
One word to describe myself on the court: passionate
One word to describe myself off the court: passionate
Few people know that I: have lived in 7 different states
Person who had greatest influence on my athletics career: My mom has had the biggest influence on my athletic career because she’s been there through every stage of it. She’s made countless sacrifices to help me chase my goals, whether that was driving me to practices and tournaments, supporting me after tough losses, or celebrating the big wins. More than anything, she’s always believed in me, even when I doubted myself.
I started playing my sport because…: my mom signed me up for a volleyball camp, and I fell in love with it.
I chose Rutgers because…: I chose Rutgers because it felt like the right fit from the beginning. It’s always been my dream to play in the Big Ten, so having the opportunity to compete at that level was a huge reason why I committed. I also really connected with the coaching staff. They believed in me, made me feel wanted, and gave me confidence that I could grow both as a player and as a person. I loved the team culture, the competitiveness, and the vision they have for the program. At the end of the day, Rutgers just felt like home, and I knew it was where I wanted to spend the next four years.
Favorite cereal: Captain crunch berries
The movie I have watched the most in my lifetime is: The Parent Trap
The best actor/actress to play me in a movie is…: Jennifer Lawrence
Favorite musician/group: Drake, SZA, Morgan Wallen
The first song I knew all the words to is: Shake it off
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a gold medal at: thrifting
Famous people I have met include: Karch Kiraly
Pets I had growing up were: My dog Jax he’s a cavalier King Charles spaniel
My favorite Halloween costume growing up was: any Disney princess
The place in the world I would most like to visit is: Bora Bora
The website I visit most often is: TikTok
My favorite teacher was: English, Mrs Tignor, 10-11
The quote that most resonates with me is: “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” — Theodore Roosevelt This quote resonates with me because I’ve learned how important confidence is, especially in volleyball. There have been times when I’ve doubted myself, but believing in myself has helped me push through challenges and perform at my best. It reminds me that having confidence in yourself is the first step toward reaching your goals.
If my life was a book, the title would be: 67- it’s my favorite number and I say it every single day
If I could choose any color when buying a new car it would be: black
One thing on my bucket list is: traveling out of the country
Phone app you cannot live without: TikTok
