Why Rutgers? “I choose Rutgers because it’s a phenomenal program close to home. Rutgers has a great tradition and I’m excited to compete in the Big Ten.”
 
Head Coach Steve Owens: “Donovan is an impact LHP with a bright future.  We are excited that he will be joining a terrific group of incoming talented players as we continue to grow our program.  He has a chance to be very special.
2024 (Redshirt Freshman): Struck out two in win at St. Joe's (2/27) ... recorded two outs on two strikeouts with no runs at Old Dominion (2/25) ... made collegiate debut at Winthrop in first action since high school season in 2022, retired the lone batter he faced (2/18).

2023 (Freshman): Did not see action due to injury ... redshirted.

Prior to Rutgers: Ranked No. 173 national recruit, No. 6 overall prospect and No. 3 LHP in New Jersey by Perfect Game ... No. 210 recruit nationally, No. 4 overall prospect and No. 2 LHP in New Jersey by Prep Baseball Report ... four-year varsity starter at Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen ... No. 456 prospect in 2022 MLB Draft by Baseball America … played travel ball for Diamond Jacks.
 
Personal: Son of Don and Ana Zsak ... has one sister, Alexa, who is a cheerleader at Seton Hall … majoring in economics.
