Biography

Why Rutgers? “It has always been a dream of mine growing up as a Jersey kid to play for Rutgers and represent New Jersey.”


2024 (Senior): Started a pair of games at Old Dominion and went 3-for-8 with two doubles and two RBIs (2/23-25) ... went 1-for-3 in series finale at Winthrop with a run scored (2/16-18).

2023 (Junior):
 Second Team All-MAAC ...appeared and started in 55 games ... batted .335 with an OPS of .915, both of which led the Jaspers ... collected a team-high 80 hits to go along with 50 RBI and 44 runs ... blasted eight home runs, 16 doubles and three triples for a .527 slugging percentage ... went 3-5 with two runs and three RBI in the MAAC Championship against Canisius (5/24) ... Collected three hits and three RBI against Rider (5/18) ...  4-for-8 with two doubles five RBI against Fordham (5/16) ... went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run at Canisius (5/14) ... was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a home run and three RBIs against Mount St. Mary's (5/6) ... 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Siena (4/28) ... went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBIs against Marist (4/23) ... 2-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of RBIs against Fairfield (4/8) ... drove three runs in against Saint Peter's (4/2) ... 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored against George Washington (3/26) ... went 3-for-5 with a triple against Hartford (3/17) ... hit a home run at Texas (3/12) ... was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored at Texas (3/11) ... scored three runs and drove in two more against UMES (3/5) ... doubled and scored a run against Stetson (2/18).

2022 (Sophomore): First Team All-MAAC ... ABCA/Rawlings Second-Team All-Region ... ECAC Honorable Mention selection ... PGCBL All-League First Team ... MAAC All-Academic Team ... appeared and started in 47 games ... batted .350 while scoring 45 runs, hitting 13 doubles and six home runs ... led the Jaspers and was fourth in the MAAC with 15 stolen bases ... went 3-3 with four RBIs against LIU (3/16) ... drove in five runs against Saint Peter's (4/1) ... knocked in five runs against Iona (5/1).

2021 (Freshman): MAAC All-Academic Team ... hit .242 (15-of-62) with eight runs, two doubles, one triple, 10 RBI, eight walks and four stolen bases … had four multi-hit and three multi-RBI performances … started all 22 games he appeared in … doubled in his first collegiate at-bat in season opener at Monmouth (3/28) … went 2-for-5 with a triple, run, RBI and stolen base in helping salvage a doubleheader split with Rider (4/2) … was 2-for-3 with a double in series opener against Rider (4/3), before drawing two walks and scoring a run in the finale … in doubleheader sweep of Iona (4/7), finished up 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, three walks and a stolen base … singled, drove in a run and walked in opener at Canisius (4/10) … batted .400 (4-of-10) with four RBI, three runs, two stolen bases and two walks over three-straight wins at Siena (4/17-4/18) … was 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run in doubleheader action against Fairfield (4/24) … missed the second half of the season with injury.

2020 (Freshman): Did not see any game action.

Prior to College: Player for head coach Chris Sommerhlater at Emerson Junior-Senior High School  where he earned four varsity letters ... helped lead the Cavaliers to a state championship and two sectional titles ... served as a team captain and was named team MVP as a junior and senior ... two-time First Team All-League selection ... Second Team All-North Jersey ... two-year starting quarterback for football team, named First Team All-League twice and was a team captain ... two-time First Team All-League point guard for basketball team ...  named Team MVP of football, basketball and baseball teams senior year ... played travel ball for Complete Performance Baseball Academy. 

Personal: Son of Rocky and Mary Durocher ... has one brother, Matt, and one sister, Michelle ... majoring in supply chain management.
