Prior to Rutgers: Played at Rowan College of South Jersey, helping Roadrunners to 2023 NJCAA DIII National Championship ... NJCAA All-American... slashed .441/.481/.614 in 2023, registering 97 hits with eight home runs, 10 doubles, two triples and 82 runs scores, while stealing 16 bases ... played high school baseball at Mission Viejo, leading Diablos to South Coast League title ... hit .367 with 32 hits, five home runs, two triples, 17 RBIs and 20 stolen bases en route to being named 2021 South Coast League MVP as a senior. 

Personal: Son of Mike and Lynn Young ... has two brothers, Sean and Ozzy ... majoring in history.
