Why Rutgers? "I chose Rutgers because they have great academics. Rutgers is very close to my family and friends, so they could come watch me play. The program they are building here is amazing. Coach Owens, Coach Monaghan and the rest of staff are great at developing players and young men."
Head Coach Steve Owens: "JT is a strong, polished left-handed pitcher with very good stuff. With continued development, he will have an opportunity to compete for a starting pitcher role early in his career."

Did not see action due to injury ... redshirted.
Prior to Rutgers: A four-year varsity player at Colonia … earned first team all-conference, first team all-division in 2021 … added Home News Tribune Second Team … played travel baseball for East Coast Ghost for three years … named top-500 player and No. 32 in New Jersey by Perfect Game … also plays high school basketball … won the state championship as a freshman and county title as a junior.
Personal: Son of Amy and Joe Kroner … mother played college softball at Husson College … has a younger brother, Colin … intends to major in exercise science.
